Of Walking Through the Rational Path – Sanjay Kumar

A mid-career retrospective of artist Sanjay Kumar at Bihar Museum,
December 2022-January 2023

Faandee’s team sifted through the artist’s studio and his archival data to compile and construct a retrospective exhibition and a biographical monograph ‘Sanjay Kumar-The Traveller of Rational Path” tracing four decades of an artist’s journey, shaped by the thoughts of Buddha and Osho. The journey highlights the humble yet determined beginnings of Sanjay Kumar whose works adorn the collections of the Bihar Museum and with Mukesh Ambani.

The exhibition and the monograph celebrates the artist’s philanthropy through Studio Pannadwar, a community space that runs Sambhavana—a non-commercial, open art camp supporting emerging and mid-career artists.
