A programme for connecting audiences through a slower form of conversation i.e. letters. Nandalal Bose as well as Prabhakar Barwe are known for their contribution to the art field. The letter reading session by Vikram Marathe and Dr Nitin Hadap offered insights and fun to life during the tense period of nationwide Lockdown of year 2020, by reading a curated set of independent correspondences by Bose and Barwe on the occasion of Nadalal’s birth anniversary (03 December).
It was part of a larger letter writing open call Chitra Samvad- where an open call was sent out to write letters to a favourite artist or addressed to the artwork itself. The programme gathered significant response across Maharashtra and with a jury panel selecting best letters.
The project was pursued in collaboration with Dakkhan Kala Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha, Aurangabad by an art group of young artists.
